EkaIQ does not run advertising or cross-site tracking. The storage below is what makes signing in, staying signed in and measuring our own funnel possible.

This document is written in plain English for a beta product and is still pending professional legal review. It describes how EkaIQ actually works today and will be updated as the product changes.

Strictly necessary

Authentication session: your signed-in session is kept in your browser (local storage and, where applicable, a session cookie) by our authentication provider so you are not logged out on every page.
Security state: short-lived values used during sign-in, password reset and connecting a social account, to prevent request forgery and replay.
Preferences: small values such as your selected brand, theme and timezone display.

First-party product analytics

We store a random session identifier in your browser's session storage and record a small set of named product events - for example viewing the homepage or pricing page, starting a signup, completing onboarding. It is first-party, it expires when you close the tab, and it contains no name, email, IP address or page content.

Third parties

The only third parties involved are the platforms that run the product itself: our managed database, authentication and storage provider, and - when you connect an account - the social network you authorise. We do not embed advertising pixels, ad networks, session recorders or social tracking widgets on this site.

Your control

You can clear this storage in your browser at any time. Clearing authentication storage signs you out. Blocking it entirely will stop the app from working, because there would be nowhere to keep your session.
